The Mennonite Children's Choir of Lancaster has announced its spring 2022 concert series, "Gather Together." Guests will enjoy choral music that praises God, celebrates community, and highlights music from around the world and across time.
Concerts will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, at Strasburg Mennonite Church, 1514 Village Road, Strasburg, and at 3 and 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, at Neffsville Mennonite Church, 2371 Lititz Pike, Lancaster. The program includes excerpts from John Rutter's "Mass of the Children," "Ich freue mich in dem Herrn" by Lititz native Johannes Herbst, selections from Andrew Carter's "Bless the Lord" suite, and "Hakuna Akaita," a praise song from southern Africa sung in three different languages.
