St. James Church Plans Bazaar

St. James Catholic Church, 505 Woodcrest Ave., Lititz, will host its annual Christmas bazaar in person on Friday, Nov. 19, from 3 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 20, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.

The wearing of masks is required for entry, and there will not be an online shopping component this year. For added safety, there will be a separate entrance and exit for guests. Attendees should look for signage and a new side entrance.

As in the past, attendees can expect a wide assortment of handmade crafts, wreaths, floral arrangements, knitted items, and activities for people of all ages. The event will include a white elephant sale, a book sale, a silent auction and basket giveaway drawings for baskets and other prizes. A special children's craft room will be open on Nov. 19 from 3 to 9 p.m. and on Nov. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with games and fun activities for all, a visit with Santa, and the opportunity to make and take gingerbread houses.

Hot food will not be served on Friday or on Saturday during the day; however, beverages and packaged snacks, as well as the traditional baked goods, will be available for purchase. Packaged and frozen pierogies handmade by parishioners will be available for purchase until sold out. A traditional hot ham and turkey dinner will be served on Nov. 20 from 5 to 7 p.m.
