St. John's Episcopal Church at Compass, 1520 W. King's Highway, Gap, will offer several holiday services. The community is invited to attend.
On Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 7 p.m., a Thanksgiving Eve service of Holy Eucharist will take place.
An Advent Taize-style service of worship and prayer will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7. A candlelit Christmas Eve Choral Eucharist will feature special music at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24. The service will begin at 7 p.m. and will be followed by refreshments in the parish hall.
An informal service will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Christmas Day, Wednesday, Dec. 25. A service on nine lessons and carols based on King's College, Cambridge, England, will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29.
