Solanco High School graduating senior Olivia Stoltzfus continues to earn recognition for her art skills. Olivia is the recipient of the 2019 Myrtle Tremblay Portfolio Scholarship Award of $1,000 presented by the Lancaster County Art Association. Olivia was honored at an awards ceremony and reception on June 9 at the Lancaster County Art Association in Strasburg.
In the 2018 and 2019 Scholastic Art Awards and Young Artists Awards competitions, Olivia's work received the highest awards, which included numerous special awards, portfolio awards, and gold, silver, and honorable mention awards. Olivia was awarded two scholarships to attend the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia in 2017 and 2018.
Olivia was the November 2017 Emerging Artist at the Hamilton Club of Lancaster, and her work was published on the cover of the Southern Lancaster Historical Society calendar in 2018.
Also an accomplished writer, Olivia's work has been published in the 2018 winter edition of Philadelphia Stories Jr. as well as the 2019 edition of The Apprentice Writer.
Olivia is the recipient of a scholarship to attend Rhode Island School of Design in the fall of 2019.
