The Strasburg Ministerium will hold a National Day of Prayer event on Thursday, May 2, at noon around the flag pole in front of the Strasburg Borough Municipal Building, 145 Precision Ave. According to the National Day of Prayer website, the annual observance is held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation.
Pastors from many of the area's churches will be present in support of community leaders. Additionally, there will be officials and representatives on hand from Strasburg Borough, Strasburg Police, Strasburg Fire Department, an EMS service, the military, the medical field and area businesses. The prayer rally will last about 20 minutes. The public is encouraged to attend.
