Lancaster Church of the Brethren, 1601 Sunset Ave., Lancaster, will present the Apollo Chamber Players, along with special guest pianist Ken Osowski, on Sunday, Nov. 24, at 3 p.m. as part of its Starlight Tea Concert Series. The day and time for this concert depart from the normal schedule.
The Houston-based Apollo Chamber Players group focuses on globally inspired programming and multicultural new music commissions. A recent winner of Chamber Music America's Residency Partnership award, the quartet has performed for sold-out audiences at Carnegie Hall twice in the past five years, and it is known as the first American chamber ensemble to record and perform in Cuba since the embargo relaxation. Apollo is featured frequently on American Public Media's nationally syndicated program "Performance Today."
Admission is free, and a freewill offering will be received. For more details, readers may call 717-397-4751 or visit http://www.lancob.org.
