"Strong Town" Forum Slated

The Row House Forum will host "Is Lancaster a Strong Town?" with presenter Bo Wright, development director for Strong Towns, on Friday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. in the Great Room at The Trust Performing Arts Center, 37 N. Market St., Lancaster. The event is open to the public.

Strong Towns is a national nonprofit that is dedicated to making communities across the country financially strong and resilient. Wright's role with Strong Towns involves spending time in towns and cities across the country and meeting with mayors, urban planners, locally focused philanthropists, and real estate developers that revitalize places.

Previously, he was a research analyst at Calvin Edwards & Company, where he provided consulting services to support the giving decisions of major donors. Prior to that, he was a research fellow at the Georgia Center for Opportunity, a state-based public policy think-tank dedicated to increasing opportunity and improving the quality of life for all Georgians. He studied theology as an undergraduate. Wright and his wife live in Downingtown.

Chuck Mahron, founder of Strong Towns, recently released "Strong Towns: A Bottom-Up Revolution to Rebuild American Prosperity." Signed copies of this book will be available.

Coffee and refreshments will be available. There will be ample time to ask questions.
