Penn State Extension, in collaboration with researchers at Tufts University, will offer StrongWomen strength training and nutrition classes to help women improve their strength, flexibility, bone density and stamina. Spring classes, with sessions set in Lancaster and in Quarryville, are now open for registration. All classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from March 19 to June 11.
A free informational meeting will be held on Monday, March 4, at 9:30 a.m. in the training room at the Farm and Home Center, 1383 Arcadia Road, Lancaster. All new registrants are required to attend.
The Lancaster classes will be offered from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m., 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., or 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Farm and Home Center. The Quarryville classes will take place from 9 to 10:15 a.m. or 10:45 a.m. to noon at Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren, 1392 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville.
