Sarah LaVerdiere won the Lions International peace poster contest for the East Hanover Lions Club. The theme was "Journey of Peace." Sarah is the daughter of Trevor and Michele LaVerdiere of Grantville.
The annual contest is open to young people between the ages of 11 and 13 and allows students to share images of peace with the goal of fostering tolerance and international understanding.
