Ten Solanco middle school students performed in the Lancaster-Lebanon Music Educators Association County Orchestra Festival on Nov. 23 at Lancaster Mennonite High School. The top middle school musicians in Lancaster and Lebanon counties were chosen for the festival.
The students representing Solanco were Julianne Alexander, Caitlin Bennethum, Harry Humbert, Tae Martin, and Oli Oravitz, violin; Courtney Sellers, viola; Taylor Sexton and Emily Sims, cello; Nathan Tucker, bass; and Sawyer Weyman, percussion.
The students rehearsed together and then performed a public concert of music in various styles.
