Five Lower Dauphin High School students have been selected to participate in the ACE (Architecture, Construction, Engineering) mentoring program. They are seniors Daniel Kreiss and Sebastian Salinas and juniors Samantha McGowen, Sydney Miller, and Matthew Newman.
ACE takes place on Tuesdays from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. with Dauphin, Cumberland, and Perry counties combined this year. Other Dauphin County schools sending students to the program include Central Dauphin High School, Commonwealth Charter Academy, Dauphin County Technical School, and Hershey High School.
The ACE mentoring program discusses principles in design and construction from contracting and engineering to architecture and landscaping. Each student will design a tiny workspace/house for this year's individual project.
