The DUI Council of Lancaster County recently unveiled a billboard in Lancaster County created by student mentors of Leaders of Future Generations, a program of Compass Mark. The group has now created four billboards for the council.
Leaders of Future Generations is an after-school program with service learning and leadership components that encourages youths to make good, healthy choices, while also helping them build skills to empower their peers to do the same when they encounter dangerous situations. April, which is National Alcohol Awareness Month, is an important time to teach teens about the importance of waiting until they are at least age 21 to drink, the legal age to consume alcohol in Pennsylvania.
This year's billboard, which was inspired by the popular game Wordle, will be displayed along the Harrisburg Pike, just west of Vermont Avenue, through Sunday, April 24.
