Presidential Education Awards were given to 10 students at a recent awards ceremony at West Fallowfield Christian School. The Presidential Certificate of Excellence Awards are given to students in fifth and eighth grades who exhibit educational excellence and who have achieved high academic goals through their hard work and dedication to learning.
Students who maintain a grade point average of at least 3.5 and score in the top 15 percent in their standardized tests receive a gold Certificate of Excellence from the president and a lapel pin with the presidential seal. Students who either score in the top 15 percent of their standardized testing scores or maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or better receive a silver Certificate of Achievement and a lapel pin.
The following students received a gold Certificate of Excellence: eighth-graders Kay Reyburn and Janelle Yu, along with fifth-graders Teagen Ford, Chloe King, and Avianna Longenecker. Silver Certificates of Achievement were awarded to eighth-graders Katie Archambo, Anthony Lusby, Michael Moffa, and Seriya Perez, as well as fifth-grader Sofia Stoltzfus.
