In early April, Montgomery School's eighth-grade students who are studying Spanish as a second language participated in the National Spanish Exam. This exam assessed the areas of vocabulary, grammar, reading, and listening in Level 1 Spanish. Montgomery School's Class of 2021 excelled in all areas of the exam.
Several Spanish students from the eighth grade attained national recognition for their excellent performances. Receiving un mención honorífica (honorable recognition) on the National Spanish Exam are Anna Magarelli, Rachael Simoes, Ryan Owens, Graciana Eilberg, and Hannah Smith. Harry Whaley received un premio de bronce (bronze medal) on the National Spanish Exam, and Akash Kapoor received un premio de oro (gold medal) on the National Spanish Exam.
