Students from the Desktop Publishing 2 and Independent Study courses at Hempfield High School competed at the Regional Level of the Pennsylvania High School Media and Design Competition held at the Lancaster-Lebanon IU 13 on April 29. Students submitted 11 projects in the categories of animation, 3-D design, programming, logo and graphic design, digital movie, and website design.
Placements are as follows: animation, first place; programming, second place; 3-D design, third place; and logo and graphic design, third place. Following their animation win, seniors Perry Marinos, Lucas Martin, and Darien Ressler will advance to the State Competition at Dickinson College in May.
