Lampeter-Strasburg High School musicians continue to excel this year by qualifying for Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) festivals. Junior Dominic Brazzle and senior Jillian Pontz received invitations to perform with high school musicians from nine counties at the PMEA District 7 South Band Festival. The festival was held from Feb. 13 to 15 at Central York High School. Jillian plays the flute and Dominic plays the tuba.
Jillian also has been selected to join the PMEA Region V State Band. She will play alongside musical standouts from 16 counties at the Region V State Band Festival from Thursday to Saturday, March 26 to 28, at Eastern York High School, 720 Cool Creek Road, Wrightsville. The festival will conclude with a public concert at 2:30 p.m. on March 28. Separate fees have been set for students and for adults.
