Several local Susquehanna University students are serving internships this spring.
Madeline Seavey of Lancaster is serving an internship at North Museum of Nature and Science. Seavey's responsibilities include providing writing and research support to the museum, including creating a Wikipedia page. She is gaining experience in writing grants, copywriting, event support, and marketing tasks. Seavey is a creative writing major in the Class of 2019. A 2015 graduate of Lancaster Country Day School, she is the daughter of Richard and Susan Seavey.
Rachael Blaine of Elizabethtown is serving an internship in Susquehanna University's Publishing and Editing Program. Blaine's responsibilities include informing Susquehanna students and other interested parties about news in the publishing industry and related happenings on campus. She is gaining experience managing a program's social media accounts and generating publicity suitable for specific groups. Blaine is a creative writing major in the Class of 2021. A 2017 graduate of Northeastern High School, she is the daughter of Sheri Blaine and Sterling Chapman.
Richard Farmer of Maytown is serving an internship at Education First. Farmer's responsibilities include IT support and creating weekly reports. He is gaining experience working with international businesses and learning about their management and challenges. Farmer is an accounting major in the Class of 2020. A 2016 graduate of Donegal High School, he is the son of Gary and Sandra Farmer.
