Students Take Part In Mentorship Program

Seven female Penn Manor students have been paired with professionals to help them learn to navigate the workplace and develop skills essential to success after high school. The students are participating in Young Women Discovering Paths, an eight-month mentorship program sponsored by the Lancaster Chamber.

Participants are job shadowing female professionals from Cargas Systems, Fulton Financial, Millersville University, and other companies and organizations. The mentors seek to help the students develop confidence and workplace skills. Participants also are learning about career options and different styles of leadership and management.

Junior Sittal Neupane, whose mentor works in marketing for Discover Lancaster, said she hopes that the program helps her develop achievable career goals.

In addition to Sittal, Penn Manor participants are Caroline May, Emelly Batista, Katelyn DeHaven, Kaleigh Ferko, Lillian Nalevanko, and Amari Orr.
