Nine Marticville Middle School students were recently named Principal's Award winners for their accomplishments during the 2019-20 school year.
The students excelled both inside and outside the classroom and are positive role models who exhibited perseverance, integrity, respect, empathy and safety and inspired others to do the same, according to Marticville principal Chris Smith.
The recipients are Xander Mowery, Zoey Groff and Derek Thomas from the seventh-grade Green Team; Nicole Foutz, Suren Clark and Molly Bushong from the eighth-grade Blue Team; and Julianne Kibodeaux, Jarliah Ferko and Autumn Kirkley from the eighth-grade Gold Team.
Each student received a personalized yard sign in honor of the award.
