Local artist Karen Chandler will bring her newest collection of work, "Fluid Transformations," to Mulberry Art Studios, 19-21 N. Mulberry St., Lancaster, in December.
Chandler holds a Bachelor of Arts in art and has completed postgraduate work in art education at Millersville University. She studied commercial design and photography for two years at Kutztown University and studied sculpture under Cuban sculptor Ramon Lago at the Wyomissing School of Fine Art. She completed certification programs in digital design, print, and web at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design. She also studied clay printing with the late Mitch Lyons. She was an art instructor for individuals with disabilities, and currently she works privately at her home studio in Millersville.
Additionally, Mulberry Art Studios has announced the continuation of B. Emerson's exhibit "DARK GRAIN," which debuted at the gallery on Nov. 5. The exhibit will continue until the end of December.
The public is invited to a First Friday reception for both exhibits on Dec. 3 from 5 to 9 p.m. Those who wish to view the artwork during the week should call the gallery at 717-295-1949 or email the curator at Stephanie.MulberryArt@gmail.com.
