Governor Dick Environmental Center, 3283 Pinch Road, Mount Gretna, will offer special events to the community. Programs are open to the public, but preregistration is required by contacting 717-964-3808 or governordick@hotmail.com and providing a name and phone number. Attendees should meet at the Environmental Center. Programs are free unless otherwise stated.
Story Forest - The Under Habitat, a children's story time, will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 8. Participants will get their hands dirty and go for a hike. A fee applies.
Drawing Close to Nature, a nature journaling hike, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 9. Attendees should bring their own journal. Color will be provided. A fee applies.
A Fitness Hike will step off at 8 a.m. on Sunday, July 10. The faster-paced hike will be 4 to 6 miles long.
