The Circle of Hope cancer support group at Wrightsville Assembly of God Church, 365 Orange St., Wrightsville, will meet on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
The group will host a guest speaker, Dr. Matthew Brennan from the Ann Barshinger Cancer Institute. Brennan, who specializes in hematology and medical oncology, will share from a perspective of faith and professional medicine.
The Circle of Hope is a support group for those who have been affected by cancer, whether patients themselves or friends or family members. Those who attend will have an opportunity to ask questions and connect with others of all stages and ages. This ministry is led by Connie Radziewicz of Wrightsville, who is currently being treated for stage 4 ovarian cancer.
