Mental Health America of Lancaster County (MHALC), 245 Butler Ave., Suite 204, Lancaster, offers support groups. Unless noted otherwise, groups meet at the MHALC headquarters.
The Bipolar Support Group, a peer-led discussion group for adults and families, meets from 7:15 to 8:45 p.m. on the second, fourth, and fifth Mondays.
The Bipolar Educational Group, a peer-led group for adults and families, meets from 7:15 to 8:45 p.m. on the first and third Mondays.
The Bipolar Support Group, a group for adults and families led by MHALC, meets at noon on the second Thursday at Hempfield United Methodist Church, 3050 Marietta Ave., Lancaster. Lunch is provided.
The Depression Awareness and Women's Needs Group, a peer-led group for women, meets from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on the first, third and fifth Tuesdays.

The Anxiety, Panic and OCD Support Group, a peer-led group for adults and families, meets from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays.
The Finding Our Way Group, a depression support group, meets from 6 to 7 p.m. on the second, third, fourth and fifth Mondays.
The Moms Supporting Moms Group, a group for moms struggling with emotional wellness, postpartum depression and/or postpartum anxiety, meets from 6 to 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday at Hamilton Park United Church of Christ (UCC), 1210 Maple Ave., Lancaster. The Sibling Support Group, for children ages 8 to 12 who have a sibling with a mental illness or disability, meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second Monday from September through May at 116 W. The Landis Communities Family Support Group meets from 3 to 5 p.m. on the fourth Sunday, except in December, at Rossmere Mennonite Church, 741 Janet Ave., Lancaster. An educational program runs from 3 to 4 p.m., followed by Share and Care Groups that meet from 4:10 to 5 p.m.

MHALC's groups are peer-facilitated, which means the group leader has experienced the same struggles group members are going through. All groups are free and held on a drop-in basis. All groups are confidential. Groups can be an alternative to or a supplement to a traditional counseling service. Attendees do not have to share their story at any meeting; they may choose to just listen to others share.
