The Swatara Sip N Stroll will be held on Saturday, Sept. 25, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Swatara Watershed Park, 1929 Blacks Bridge Road, Annville. In the case of rain, the event will take place on Sunday, Sept. 26.
Attendees may stroll the banks of this 33-acre park, see the new tree plantings, fish, play volleyball, listen to music, or just enjoy the outdoors. One way attendees may access the site is from the water, paddling from other sites. Participants are encouraged to bring a lawn chair. The event will also feature food trucks, including Cheezy Grill and Seltzer's Lebanon Bologna. Attendees are asked to social distance, but masks are not required.
Nonprofits are invited to set up a table to share information about their mission. Organizations already scheduled to be present include the Lebanon County First Responder Memorial.
Brewers using water from the Swatara watershed to make their products include Mount Gretna Craft Brewery, Rotunda Brewing Company, Snitz Creek Brewery, Tattered Flag Brewery, Tröegs Independent Brewing, and Under the Bridge Cider.
Valid identification is required. A donation will be requested at the door, or attendees may donate in advance at https://tinyurl.com/swatarasipnstroll. In addition to drinks, donations will include a water conservation kit while supplies last, a styrene glass for sipping, a tote bag, and a wristband. Swatara Watershed Park is maintained by the Swatara Water Trail, and funds raised will go toward clean water projects like maintaining the park, planting trees, conservation education, the Bordner cabin, and Emrich launch near Harper's Tavern.
