All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) honors were bestowed upon three members of the Kutztown University (KU) men's tennis team recently. Among them, Hummelstown native Josh Carl earned a Second Team Singles nod.
Carl, a junior, held down third singles for KU and sported a winning 3-2 record in league play. He played .500 tennis upon the team's return from spring break. He opened league play with a straight set victory at West Chester and later rallied for a three-set victory against Sebastian Pardo of nationally ranked Mercyhurst in mid-April. Carl finished the year with a 5-10 overall singles record and went 5-9 at No. 3.
Carl is a repeat all-conference selection, having been an All-PSAC Second Team Doubles pick last spring.
