The Ephrata Cocalico 4-H Club, a textile science club, will hold its reorganizational meeting on Monday, March 21, at the Ephrata Fair Association office, 19 S. State St., Ephrata, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The club will offer beginner and intermediate sewing projects and will meet at the fair office from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Monday from March through June. The club is open to all youths ages 8 to 18 prior to Jan. 1.
A team of leaders will teach the necessary skills to complete the 4-H approved projects and prepare each member for competition in regional and county events.
Sewing machines, pins, an iron and ironing board, shears, and scissors will be available for member use. Each member will be responsible for the cost of the items for his or her project. A variety of small projects will be used as a part of the skill-building process to complete each project.
A parent or guardian should accompany each member to the reorganizational meeting. Members should bring a pencil and all sewing supplies and equipment with them to the meeting. The organization will provide a schedule of the project meeting dates and an agenda for each project.
