This year's double-elimination tournament is open to amateur men and women. Several pool tournaments will be held, including an Under 8 tournament for Lancaster County 8-Ball League players lifetime rated 7.99 or lower at 7 p.m. on Feb. 28, Mixed Scotch Doubles at 7 p.m. on March 1, and the ladies' event and the finals for all other tournaments starting at 10 a.m. on March 3. The tournament will feature BCA standardized rules and 11 7-foot bar boxes. There will be no handicap. There will be races to 5/4, and the loser will break; this is subject to change. Also featured will be giveaway drawings of gift baskets, local destination packages, quilts, and more, along with games.

There is a cost to take part, which will be discounted in advance. To register, readers may call Tiny Murray at 717-587-6869 or Jr. Barron at 717-314-1384. For the ninth time, monies raised will be donated to Court-Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Lancaster County to further its mission of providing adult advocates to children in need. CASAs mentor foster children until a safe and satisfactory home is achieved. Last year's tournament raised $35,000 for CASA, bringing the nine-year total to more than $150,000. Checks, including $20,000 from the league and $15,000 from Riverside, were presented on April 16, 2018.

CASA honored the Lancaster County 8-Ball League and the Riverside Camping Association with awards as part of its Heroes Gala in the fall of 2018. CASA volunteer advocate Dianna Wills was named the Clark Family Foundation Vounteer of the Year; she has advocated for the same child since May 2015. The gala raised nearly $100,000.
