The Stewartstown Raiload, 21 W. Pennsylvania Ave., Stewartstown, will run its Santa trains on Saturdays and Sundays, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, Dec. 7 and 8, Dec. 14 and 15, and Dec. 21 and 22. Saturday train rides will depart at 10:30 a.m.,11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. Sunday train rides will leave at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m, and 2:30 p.m. On Dec. 14 and 21, a special nighttime train will leave at 6:30 p.m.
The rides will last approximately 40 minutes. Santa will be aboard the enclosed 1920 passenger coach, which is decorated for the holidays. Attendees may bring their own camera and take photos with Santa at no extra charge. Santa will have a treat for each child. Following the train ride, participants may enjoy cookies and hot cocoa in the 1914 station and learn about the history of the railroad. The railroad also has a large operating toy train layout.
Separate prices have been set for adults, for seniors age 65 and older, and for children ages 2 to 12. Children under age 2 may ride for free.
