The Tree Tenders Training Series will be offered via Zoom from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesdays, Jan. 26 to March 9. The program's purpose is to teach people how to help restore and care for the tree canopy in their communities. The course is designed for lay people and experts alike. Topics are how trees work, the positive effects of trees on ecosystems, how to properly plant and care for trees, tree identification, tree stressors, and organizing volunteer tree projects.
Each participant will receive a hardcopy of the "Tree Tenders Handbook," published by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. ISA arborist CEUs will be provided. Certificates of attendance can be provided upon request for landscape architecture CE credits or other professional certifications.
