Trinity United Church of Christ (UCC), 2340 State St., East Petersburg, will host a vacation Bible school (VBS) from Monday, July 8, through Thursday, July 11, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. A closing program will take place on Friday, July 12. The VBS will have the theme "Knit in God's Love" and will include food, crafts, games, music for all ages.
A Caretaker and Me class will be available for children age 3 and under and their caretakers. The program and the ending time will be flexible.
Classes will be available for children age 4 through those who have finished sixth grade. Participants will explore how people knit themselves together with each other and with the world, as well as how they can allow God to knit His love into the things they do.
Teenagers and adults are invited to join the Rev. Jack Esbenshade in exploring "The Practice of the Presence of God" by Brother Lawrence.
On July 12, a family pizza dinner will be available at 6:15 p.m. by donation. The closing program will feature special guests, such as a llama, and demonstrations, including spinning and felting.
Participation is free, but freewill offerings will be received for the Lancaster County Food Hub. Additionally, anyone is welcome to join Trinity and Zion's prayer shawl ministry to create 200 scarves for the community meal on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

In addition, the church will host its Friendship Fest and an ice cream social on Sunday, July 21, from 4 to 7 p.m. The event will include games by Trinity Preschool, face painting, and a concert by Phredd.
