Boy Scout Troop 97 of Londonderry Township will hold an open house on Saturday, March 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Troop Complex, 1831 Felker Road, Middletown.
The open house will feature a campfire hot dog roast and Scout skills instruction. Scout leaders and Boy Scouts will be available to answer questions and membership applications will be available.
The event is open to boys who will be completing fifth grade or a higher grade and who are interested in camping, hiking, canoeing, survival skills, leadership opportunities, and community service. Boys do not need to reside in Londonderry Township or have any prior Scouting experience to join Troop 97.
Troop 97 meetings are held on Tuesday evenings year-round, in addition to monthly outdoor adventures and an annual summer camp, which all new members are invited to attend from Sunday to Saturday, July 7 to 13, at Settlers Camp/Trexler Scout Reservation in Kunkletown.
