UZRC Plans Speaker Series

United Zion Retirement Community (UZRC), 722 Furnace Hills Pike, Lititz, has started a new program, "Coffee Break at United Zion." The free educational speaker series features speakers on various topics. Coffee and cookies are served. Each session runs approximately one hour, which includes time for questions.

On Friday, June 14, at 1:30 p.m., Nino Pesce will present "Low Vision: Support and Acceptance." Pesce was diagnosed with macular degeneration many years ago.

On Thursday, July 25, at 1:30 p.m., the topic will be "Future Preparations From Medicaid to Pre-Planning Burials." Ashley Smith Myers from Charles E. Snyder Funeral Homes will speak about veterans' benefits, Medicaid benefits and limitations, and understanding how the Medicaid spend-down operates. Ice cream will also be served.
