UZRC Reopens Restaurant

United Zion Retirement Community (UZRC) in Lititz opened its Lexington Restaurant on Aug. 12 after a three-month renovation project. The renovation updated the look of the space, expanded the area for dining and created a gathering space for residents.

The new kitchen allows for an expanded menu featuring made-to-order dishes as well as two specials at every meal. Lexington now offers grab-and-go options and carryout in addition to its delivery and waited table service. The gathering space features a fireplace and seating for gathering as well as extra space for game playing and eating.

The new grab-and-go options include signature Lancaster County fare like red beet eggs and Lebanon bologna as well as sandwiches, wraps, desserts, and yogurt parfaits. All menu options, including the three-course meal, are nominally priced.

Paul Risk Construction was the contractor for the project. The renovation was the first phase of a two-phase plan to renovate the public spaces at UZRC. Next year, the retirement community will create a larger chapel and mixed-use space off of the main lobby.
