UZRC Sets Chocolate Stroll, Auction

United Zion Retirement Community (UZRC), 722 Furnace Hills Pike, Lititz, will host its annual Chocolate Stroll and Silent Auction on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 2 to 4 p.m.

This year's stroll will feature 15 stops, where attendees may sample chocolate treats from companies such as Evans Candy, Cake & Cup, The Cocoa Exchange, The Hershey Company, Miesse Candies, Thom's Bread, Spence Candies and Wilbur Chocolate. Both sweet and savory samples will be available.

As they walk through the halls, partcipants will also have opportunities to bid on items in the silent auction. Tickets are not required to participate. The auction will include items from entertainment to food as well as activities for adults and for children. There will be gift cards and gift baskets from local area businesses, including restaurants, supermarkets, ice cream vendors, hotels, adventure and entertainment venues, sports teams, and museums.

The event is open to the public. Advance tickets will be discounted if purchased by Monday, Feb. 17. Proceeds from the event will go toward benevolent care at United Zion. Benevolent care supports residents who no longer have the resources to afford the full cost of their care.
