The Southern Branch YMCA, 100 Constitution Ave., Shrewsbury, is set to host Southern Community Services' annual veterans service event on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 9 a.m. to noon in the gymnasium. The purpose of the event is to support veterans in benefiting from the resources available to them. Organizers hope to reach as many veterans as possible in southern York County.

Veteran service officers Matt Gebel and Doug Etters will present and will answer questions regarding Veterans Affairs benefits. Breakfast will be served by Living Hope Church, a church that calls the YMCA home on Sundays.
