Participants in the remote and virtual Highmark Walk event set for Saturday, May 16, may receive their T-shirt prior to the event. Drive-through pickup times will be offered at Paxton Street Home, 2001 Paxton St., Harrisburg, from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, and from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, May 15. A table will be set up in the courtyard for T-shirt distribution.
Because of COVID-19, this event will not take place at the Harrisburg campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College as originally planned. Instead, residents and staff will walk together at Paxton Street Home while other participants do their own remote walks and share photos virtually.
Participants should make sure to follow Paxton Street Ministries on Facebook to join the fun from wherever they are on May 16. Anyone who missed the deadline and is still interested in participating may contact development@paxtonmin.org. For individuals who live farther away and raised at least $35, T-shirts will be mailed after the event.
