The Green Valleys Watershed Association will hold an Earth Day Stream Cleanup on Saturday, April 20, from 9 to 11 a.m.
Participants will remove trash, debris and more from along the banks of the French Creek. The group will meet at the Phoenixville Foundry, 2 N. Main St., Phoenixville, and follow the trail that runs along the creek.
All attendees should dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. All materials, including gloves, safety vests and trash bags, will be provided.
The program is open to people age 6 through adults. Church groups, Scouts, co-workers and families are welcome.
The cleanup will take place rain or shine. Participants are asked to register in advance so that there will be enough supplies for each person. For more information and to register, individuals may contact Rebecca Blacketter at rebecca@greenvalleys.org or 610-469-4900.
