Jewish Family Services of York and Chrystal's Place (a program of NENA in York) will offer the annual Hustle 4 Hunger Walkathon as a free, four-week virtual fitness challenge. The challenge began on April 13 and will run through Monday, May 11.
Participants can run, walk, bike or engage in a fitness activity of their choosing each week to compete for weekly prizes while virtually racing along the East Coast by uploading their activity online or through a compatible fitness tracker device. All participants can receive a commemorative race medal. The event is free and open to the public, though donations will be accepted to support hunger relief efforts in York County.
Now in its 19th year, Hustle 4 Hunger York is a fundraiser that benefits Jewish Family Services of York and Chrystal's Place, two York County nonprofits that work to provide essential groceries, clothing, education programs, advocacy activities and crisis intervention for individuals and families experiencing hunger.
Sponsors and prize donors are requested for the event. Registration is available at http://www.hustle4hungeryork.org. For more information, readers may email cmiller@jfsyork.org or call 717-843-5011.
