Lebanon Valley College's (LVC) Brendan Ward of Lincoln University was named Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 1. Ward was also named to D3baseball.com's Team of the Week.
Ward helped the Flying Dutchmen sweep Northland College after LVC took down the Jacks, 3-0, in game two of a doubleheader when the Dutchmen opened up their 2020 spring break trip. The senior captain tossed a complete-game shutout and allowed just a pair of hits while striking out 10 of the 22 batters he faced. He also did not allow any free passes in the victory.
Ward is a graduate of Oxford Area High School. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.
