Weis was one of the sponsors for the third annual CommUNITY & Cops 5K Run, put on by the Logos Academy to help promote unity between the community and local police. Many uniformed officers were present, and others ran the race.
The school provided pancakes, sausage, fruit, and syrup for the participants.
The Weis tent offered bananas, coloring books, copies of the HealthyBites magazine, coupon booklets, and career cards. Visitors could also try the Spin To Win Wheel contest and a bean bag toss game. Weis provided bananas, waters, and cookies and held a giveaway drawing for five reusable grocery bags filled with snacks.
After the race was over, a community block party was held.
