WellSpan will offer a variety of wellness classes. There is a fee to participate in each program. Programs will take place at WellSpan Cocalico Health Center, 63 W. Church St., Stevens, unless otherwise stated. To register for any class, readers may call 717-721-8790.
Basic Life Support - CPR will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, or from 8 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, March 13. This course covers adult and pediatric CPR, two-rescuer scenarios and use of a bag mask. Foreign body airway obstruction and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) are also included.
Heartsaver Adult, Child and Infant CPR with AED Training will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 23. This course teaches CPR and relief of choking for adults, children, and infants. It also includes instruction on the AED.
A grocery store tour will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, at Weis Market, 331 N. Reading Road, Ephrata. A registered dietitian will take participants through the aisles of the supermarket, providing information on reading food labels and comparison shopping.
