The Diabetes Support Group will meet from 2 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, at the WellSpan New Holland Health Center, 435 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, and from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at the WellSpan Cocalico Health Center, 63 W. Church St., Stevens. The Ephrata Cancer Center Support Group will meet from 3 to 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at the WellSpan Ephrata Cancer Center, 460 N. Reading Road, Ephrata. This month's topic is "Caregivers." The free group will provide education, resources and support to anyone dealing with a cancer diagnosis. Attendees may enter and park in the rear of the center. "Knee, Hip Pain and Arthritis: Options for Pain Relief" will be the topic of a free HealthTalk to be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at the Ephrata Public Library, 550 S. Reading Road, Ephrata. A class on Basic Life Support - CPR will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 28. Both events will be held at the WellSpan Cocalico Health Center. This course will cover adult and pediatric CPR, two-rescuer scenarios and use of a bag mask. Foreign body airway obstruction and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) will also be included. There is a fee. A class on Heartsaver Adult, Child and Infant CPR with AED Training will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Monday, Sept. 23, at the WellSpan Cocalico Health Center. Healthy You is a class for adults who want to lose weight, eat healthy and be active. Participants will learn ideas to increase daily physical activity, choose healthy foods, lose and maintain weight, set goals and overcome barriers. Two sessions will be held, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Sept. 17 through Oct. 8, and Tuesday, Nov. 5, and from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays, Sept. 11 through Oct. 2, and Wednesday, Oct. 30.
