Windstream, a provider of advanced network communications, recently celebrated the grand opening of its new Kinetic Retail Store and Kinetic Business Center at 130 E. Main St. in Ephrata.
The newly designed Kinetic by Windstream store features a contemporary look and interactive nooks displaying community information, entertainment, and broadband solutions. Business customers are invited to the business center to learn more about unified communication products and business-level broadband solutions.
The grand opening celebration on Sept. 6 included refreshments, special deals, and prizes, as well as a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Northern Lancaster Chamber of Commerce. The company then presented a donation of $1,000 to EARS Inc. (Ephrata Area Rehab Services). According to Karen Hummel, EARS operations director, EARS Inc. will invest the donation into the purchase of a new EARS minivan. Windstream has implemented new broadband technology in Ephrata and is bringing new Kinetic internet with speeds up to 200 megabits per second to homes and businesses.
