Workforce Boards Receive Grants

Berks County Workforce Development Board and the Chester County Workforce Development Board have received funding for Business-Education Partnership from the Department of Labor and Industry. Berks County Workforce Development Board received $110,955 in grants, and Chester County Workforce Development Board received $150,000 in grants.

The grants will be used to connect schools, employers, and students to provide internships, mentoring, and career development opportunities.Hands-on career exploratory learning is intended to create an advanced skill set that will distinguish students from other candidates when applying for a job.
