The YMCA of York and York County invites families throughout the community to its free Family Fun Night events at each of its four participating branches: Bob Hoffman (Dover) Branch YMCA, 1705 Palomino Road, Dover; Eastern Branch YMCA, 4075 E. Market St., Suite 20, York; Southern Branch YMCA, 100 Constitution Ave., Shrewsbury; and York Branch YMCA, 90 N. Newberry St., York. Each month has a different theme and many family-friendly activities.
Family Fun Nights include activities, games, and a healthy snack or meal, along with a collection of donations for other organizations and people in need, according to Jennifer Hockensmith, executive director of Bob Hoffman Branch YMCA.
The event dates, times, and themes are as follows: Friday, Dec. 13, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Kids' Holiday Night Out; Friday, Jan. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m., Glow Party; Friday, Feb. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m., Take a Leap; Friday, March 27, from 6 to 8 p.m., Let's Grow Together; Saturday, April 25, Healthy Kids Day, with times to be determined; Friday, May 22, from 6 to 8 p.m., School's Out for the Summer!; Saturday, June 20, from 1 to 4 p.m., Summer Poolooza; Friday, July 24, from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m., Summer Outdoor Movie Night; and Friday, Aug. 21, from 6 to 8 p.m., Camp Fun.
