YWCA Lancaster has announced its honorees for fifth annual YWCA Lancaster's Women of Achievement Awards. Four women will be celebrated at an award ceremony on Friday, Oct. 15, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel, 2400 Willow Street Pike, Lancaster.
The four honorees, Starleisha Michelle Gingrich, Dr. Cherise Hamblin, Norma Vazquez, and Sobeida Rosa, met the award criteria by exemplifying excellence in their careers and advancing YWCA's mission through work or volunteerism.
The program will include video profiles of each honoree and her achievements. Individual tickets and table sponsorships are available for purchase. For more information or to register, visit http://www.ywcalancaster.org/womenofachievement. A virtual ticket option is available and includes the full program streamed on YouTube, participation in the silent auction, and access to the question-and-answer time with the honorees following the program.
As a part of the fundraising efforts, Revolution Lancaster will again be producing a bracelet available for purchase emblazoned with the words "YWCA Power." Proceeds from the sales will go directly to the mission of eliminating racism and empowering women.
