Arts Event At Ware Center Set

On First Friday, Sept. 6, the Season Launch Party for the Arts at Millersville will take place in the Lyet Lobby of the Ware Center, 42 N. Prince St., Lancaster, from 6 to 8 p.m. Visitors may explore the coming 2019-20 season of music, theater, dance, film and family-focused programming in a casual atmosphere.

The event will feature a musical performance by Reji Woods and Company, and light refreshments will be served. The evening is also the last chance to take advantage of the biggest ticket discounts of the year.

In the Regitz's Gallery, Kevin Littrell will bring his talents to Lancaster with the exhibit, "HI on Life," retelling his Hawaii experiences through photography. An opening reception will take place from 6 to 8 p.m., and the exhibit will be on display through Friday, Sept. 27.

Both the reception and launch party are free and open to the public.

The Arts at Millersville season includes the Performing Arts Series, which features music of all genres, theater, and dance, as well as Family Fun Fest events. Club 42 showcases jazz and cabaret acts in a club setting while the On Screen/In Person film series brings documentaries and filmmakers to the community for conversations regarding relevant topics. University Arts includes faculty and student groups from the Tell School of Music as well as University Theatre productions.
