The Arts at MU continues preparations for the fall reopening of the Ware and Winter centers. This summer, in anticipation of Lancaster County moving into the green phase, staff have been planning for the return of events, performances, and patrons for the 2020-21 Ware Center 10th anniversary season.
In order to make sure the facilities and events are as safe as possible, the Arts at MU staff have been executing steps of its detailed Safe Reopening Plan to ensure patrons the highest level of cleanliness, minimal touch or contact opportunities, and CDC-appropriate social distancing are all in place so that everyone can return to enjoying the cultural arts together safely.
In addition to daily deep cleaning of the Ware and Winter centers' venue spaces, common areas, and restrooms, several other procedures will be instituted. They include the requirement of masks for the attending public and employees; separate, clearly designated entrances and exits to the building; separate, clearly designated up and down stairways; staggered venue entrance times and staggered, controlled exiting; touchless ticket purchasing and ticket-taking; limited capacity venues, restrooms, and elevator in accordance with CDC guidelines; socially distanced venue seating; the option of viewing the arts brochures and programs in digital format; the condensing of show times and the elimination of intermissions; properly spaced and marked lobby seating; socially distanced floor decals for lines, and hand sanitizer stations throughout the building.
