Drama Club Sets Performance

LEC Drama Club, a local homeschool co-op, is gearing up for its performance of "Cases of Mistaken Identity" by Tony Howell. Performances will occur on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 15 and 16, at 7 p.m. at Grace Brethren Church, 305 Anchor Road, Elizabethtown. Patrons may enter from the back parking lot entrance.

The play, set in the late 1800s, focuses on various travelers who are boarding a train for their trip west, including young lovers, a secret agent in training, an elderly woman, a group of singers, and a couple that has just pulled off a jewel heist. Many of the travelers have identical suitcases, which are accidentally switched. As the passengers mingle, some cases are intentionally switched and then switched again.

The cast includes 25 homeschool students in grades seven through 12, including seniors Anna Frizzell, Katarina Grab, Tyffani Shonk, and Joel Wayde.

This is the seventh season for the LEC Drama Club and the fifth season performing at Grace Brethren Church. The play is directed by Ginger Wayde and Dawn Mylin, with stunt choreography by Laurie Miller Petersen.

LEC Drama Club's performances are free to the public, but donations are welcome. Concessions and cast shout-outs will be available for purchase at each performance.
