DreamWrights To Show "Prancer"

DreamWrights Center for Community Arts will bring the show "Prancer" to its main stage from Friday, Dec. 13, to Sunday, Dec. 22, with shows on Fridays at 7 p.m., on Saturdays at 3 and 7 p.m., and on Sundays at 3 p.m. A touch tour and audio-described show will be on Saturday, Dec. 14, at 3 p.m.

"Prancer," geared toward people of all ages, tells the story of Jessica Riggs, who finds an injured reindeer that she is convinced is Santa's helper Prancer. She wants to secretly nurse him back to health in time for Christmas Eve and also keep him a secret from her father and their small town of Three Oaks. Her father, John, spends much time working to support his family, but he learns other ways to keep his family first. The show offers messages of love, family, and hope.

DreamWrights' production of "Prancer" is guest-directed by Jess Crowe and has two casts alternating each production. The star of the show, Prancer, is a life-size puppet brought to life by three helpers. Audience members will get a chance to meet Santa's reindeer and take pictures before each show. Santa Claus will also be present for photographs.
